Yes! we have arrive in Port Au Prince Haiti. Church, sorry I (pastor pete) couldn't call in yesterday to church, the phone wasn't co-operating. We arrived about 8:05am. yeaterday, the weather is extremely Hot and Humid, but tg ekids are doing wonderful. We spent the afternoon traveling around downtown Port Au Prince looking at the devestation from the earthquake. May are displaced and living in tents becaus ethe are fearful of returning into buildings.
That evening (8/1/10) we went over to the orphanage and spent time with Pastor Bob and kids. the evening was a great opportunity to get to know the kids. Our students jump right in and played duck duck goose with the kids. The little kids from the orphanage ate it up. They were laughing and having a great time.
We ended the day with prayer, worship and sharing. Many of the student were moved by what they saw.
Monday: 8/2/10
We arrived early to serve the orphanage, we needed to remove rubble from the earthquake and help assist with laying a gravel road for the orpahange. it was loborious as the day was extremly Hot and Humid. After lunch we help paint the new dorms for the kids in the orphange and have our first day of Vacation Bible School. It was amazing to see the team work together serving the Lord.
In a short time we have been here, God is doing a great work among the students in Haiti. Thank you for your prayers.
See you soon as we are trying to stay cool.
